Nicola Stürmer

Having spent over 16 years in the Corporate world, working in the Finance Sector in diverse roles from Marketing to Money Market trading, to Business Development for the Private Clients arm of Nedbank / Old Mutual. Nicola then moved to EY and filled various roles including Business Development in the Assurance space working on Global Pursuits, Change Management, and Strategic Project management. She took a 2-year break when she had her twins and left the corporate world behind her to consult in executive search, then coaching businesses on recruitment strategies. This was her initial introduction to StructureIt and she finally joined in 2021. Nicola is passionate about building and maintaining a people-first culture.

Steve Baumgartner

Head of Business Development, United States

Steve is an industry expert and CFA Charterholder with over 22 years of experience in CMBS, CLOs, and Commercial Real Estate FinTech with firms including Trepp, JP Morgan, and Standard and Poor’s. He is passionate about working with customers to create innovative solutions that optimize workflows and solve problems leveraging data and analytics. As a lifelong learner, he loves to explore new strategic opportunities, evaluate disruptive technologies, and develop new capabilities to deliver value to customers.

Mike Probyn

Head of Business Line, South Africa

Mike started his career in London working as a Business Analyst in banking. When he returned to Cape Town in 2000 he joined a life insurance company to assist in building an online unit trust trading platform, and then went on to work there for 12 years in various parts of the business delivering investment and risk products to Wealth customers. He then moved to a short term insurer as a Programme manager delivering a digital distribution channel into their organisation. In 2015 he changed sectors into Retail and delivered a transformational Digital programme for a leading Retailer. Mike joined StructureIt in 2023 and will be focusing on building a future fit team that delivers excellent solutions to our clients.

Pieter Schutte

Chief Technology Officer, United Kingdom

Pieter is passionate about all things tech and has happily spent over 20 years developing and architecting software solutions in a wide variety of industries ranging from short term insurance to securitisation. Since 2015 he has led a team building and architecting a big data platform for Advanced Mortgage Analytics. Alongside this as CTO, Pieter’s goals are to build great teams with a strong focus on quality deliverables, underpinned with a culture of curiosity and continuous improvement.

Dave Forbes

Head of Business Line, South Africa

Dave has been in the software industry for over 20 years having led implementations, managed services and development teams within the telecom and financial sectors. Through the course of his career he has worked within the areas of implementation, business analysis, consulting, pre-sales, solution architecture and project management. He joined StructureIt in 2018 to focus on project delivery and client relationship management, and building happy, delivery-focused teams that put communication at the forefront of ensuring customer satisfaction.

Joshua Guthrie

Chief Finance, Risk & Operations Officer, United Kingdom

Josh, a self professed excel nerd, has been working in the accounting and finance industry for 10 years with exposure ranging from audit, financial system design and testing to financial management and financial modelling. Josh joined StructureIt in 2018 to centralise all accounting functions, to provide control and oversight over the Finance Function, ensure efficient allocation of capital and to provide access to key management information in a highly consumable manner.

Stuart Macdonald

Head of Business Line, South Africa

Stuart has wide-ranging experience in building enterprise level software. Starting his career as a developer, he has also worked in systems analysis, solutions architecture, business consulting and pre-sales roles. From 2007 he has focused on project management and leading global development, implementation and support teams. Stuart joined StructureIt in 2018 to focus on project delivery and client relationship management.

As CEO, Itay’s focus is to ensure that StructureIt exceeds client expectations by delivering highly effective technology solutions for companies within the capital markets.

Kate Robson

Head of People, South Africa

Kate has been a part of the banking industry since 2005, starting her career within the Information security and trading system production support. Following this, she spent 11 years in the People Function across both the retail and Global Market businesses of a Specialist Bank. Before joining StructureIt, Kate implemented a Corporate Banking platform to allow clients to execute both domestic, international payments and Foreign exchange settlements. In 2019, Kate joined StructureIt to help grow the People Function while focusing on culture and strategy implementation.

Catherine Duggan

Chief Executive Officer, SA

Cath started her career in the field of energy and financial risk management software, specialising in credit risk management across both banking and trading products. Having worked in global sales and presales, she went into running the credit and ALM risk management software lines for IBM. Since joining in 2018, Cath has been working on key client relationships and client strategy to oversee the entire engagement with our customers to ensure client delight throughout the customer journey.
